[ flapjack immediately flits over to fly around vash and sing him a little hello in birdsong! hunter is initially bemused when he opens the door, but then he looks at at the assortment of donuts, and his eyes go wide and round ]
( Flapjack gets bright delight, Vash following the flight path with his eyes. He's a lot cuter than No Man's Land's raptors anyway. But Hunter's question draws his attention back and he looks at him, wide-eyed and confused. )

( Package delivered, Vash rocks on his heels a little, like he can't quite stop himself from being in motion. )

( He seems delighted at the prospect of seeing a bird eat a donut, so he just nods his head really quick, extreme Golden Retriever energy shining through. )

[ still muttered because he is an awkward boy!! flapjack chirps invitingly, at least. hunter steps back to let him in.... but vash is about to be very disappointed, because hunter's room is so incredibly basic. there are zero upgrades. the only thing that looks different from the basic design is that there are a few piles of books and notes. because he is a nerd ]
( His room is not much better, don't worry Hunter! But Vash bounces in anyway, gaze clearly trying to read the titles of the books before he swings around to smile at his new friend. )
You know what, I got a lot of opinions about LILITH but at least the rooms are nice. No suspicious stains! No terrifying cracks in the walls. Good soundproofing! Zero sand! It's nice. The beds aren't even creaky!
( Talkative for the sake of it, because if it's one thing he's good at it's drawing people out of their shells by simply never shutting up. )

Most of them? I mean my room back on HOME isn't, but I don't really visit all that often. We're usually in motels or sleeping out in the sand so a bit of rough-wear is to be expected, you know? I travel a lot. ( A shrug, easy. ) So it's kind of been nice, being near a place I can call my own. The bed's real good, though it took me a few weeks to get used to how soft it was.
[ hunter takes a donut and looks at it, as if uncertain how to eat it, but his attention is split between eating and engaging with vash. because he is quite interested, he likes hearing about other people's worlds because he's a big ol' nerd ]
Back on.... "home"? What's that? [ but the rest seems to make sense, though hunter has to wonder why he's traveling around so much ]
I had a room in the emperor's coven. It... was similar, I guess. Not as big, not as nice. [ the room isn't that big, but his room was quite small ] This bed's a lot more... comfortable.
[ so, kinda same issue with adjusting to bed's softness ]
Oh, it's a ship. ( A hum, licking powdered sugar off his fingers. ) Like a space ship. Only it's sort of stuck on No Man's Land. The people on it helped me out when I was young so they let me keep a room there in case I need it. But a lot of the time they're in cryosleep so I don't like to bother them too much, you know? There's no point waking up just for me.
